Captain Bob Locker Receives Award: Captain Bob Locker, Past President and Rookie of the Year, Life Member and Club Historian, was honored at the May General Meeting for his role in creating, developing and maintaining the Master Tarpon Hunter Recognition Program. The program started in 2001 and recognizes the Tarpon Hunters' accomplishments over multiple seasons of accumulated fishing success. For his diligence over the years the Officers and Board unanimously agreed to rename the program the "Captain Bob Locker Master Tarpon Hunter Recognition Program"

IN REMEMBRANCE
Capt Bob Locker

A week and one day after attending the June General Meeting to present the first Recognition Award of the renamed Master Tarpon Angler Recognition Award Program, Capt Bob Locker passed to his reward. Bob was a most diligent Club member, serving as Club President, co-chair of the 40th Anniversary Committee and most recently as Club Historian. As Historian, he was working to the very end to compile the Club History in a computer friendly format. Among his notable achievements as a Tarpon Club member were Rookie of the year (1999), Sportsman of the Year (2000), and the ultimate Club recognition: Life Membership (2006). Bob will be greatly missed for his genial presence and continuous contributions.
